On Australia Day 2017 (26 January 2017) ACICA President, Alex Baykitch, was recognised for his service to international commercial arbitration. Alex is a recipient in the Australia Day 2017 Honours List as a Member in the General Division of the Order of Australia.
Alex commented that: I am delighted, honoured and humbled to have been appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the law in the field of international commercial arbitration, and to professional legal organisations. Thank you to those who nominated me and supported my nomination. And of course thank you to my family and friends for always supporting me and being there for me.
