Samantha Kelsey Joins ACICA as Deputy Secretary-General

The Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Samantha Kelsey as Deputy Secretary-General, effective immediately. Samantha joins ACICA after a distinguished career in private practice, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to advancing the field of dispute resolution.

As Deputy Secretary-General, Samantha will be supporting the Secretary-General, Diana Bowman, and the ACICA Board to strengthen ACICA’s position as Australia’s premier international arbitration institution and a leading institution in the Asia-Pacific region.

Diana Bowman, ACICA Secretary-General, said “We are thrilled to welcome Samantha to the ACICA team. Her vast experience in dispute resolution, both locally and internationally, adds further depth and breadth of expertise to the team at the Secretariat. We are very much looking forward to working with Samantha.”

Prior to joining ACICA, Samantha held senior roles at Hall & Wilcox, a prominent Australian law firm, and Baker Botts in London and Dubai, where she specialised in commercial dispute resolution, with a particular focus on international arbitration. She has represented clients across a range of sectors, including construction, energy, and finance, and has a deep understanding of the needs of multinational businesses seeking effective, impartial, and efficient dispute resolution.
