ACICA Hackathon Competition 2022
Time to get creative — ACICA is launching its first ever ‘hackathon’ for the promotion of arbitration in Australia. Open to students and lawyers.
DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 16 SEPTEMBER 2022
The theme is “Why Arbitrate in Australia”. Much of the content is available here, but the winner will present this information in an innovative way that will then be developed with ACICA and an animation-expert into a 90 second animation.
Entries can be in any form, including storyboard, a script, PowerPoint or short video. Note, file size cannot exceed 5mb by email – entries that cannot be compressed below that size should email the Secretariat to receive a link for upload.
We are looking for the entry that best captures the theme and expresses it in a way that helps to convey the benefits of arbitration seated in Australia.
The judging panel includes an esteemed group of practitioners across disciplines, including Dan Demaria, CEO of Brand Nexus, Mary-Louise Rahaley, COO at LK Law, and members of ACICA’s Practice and Procedure Board (P&P Board), Julia Dreosti (Clifford Chance), Bronwyn Lincoln (Thomson Geer), Bill Smith (Ashurst) and Caroline Swartz-Zern (ACICA).
The prize for winning includes collaborating with the members of the P&P Board who make up the judging panel, and seeing your creation come to life in a short animation, with your name credited. The animation will then be officially debuted at an event later in the year.
ACICA will accept entries until 16 September 2022, Australian Eastern Time. The winner will be notified in October 2022. Participants are required to complete and submit the entry form found in the terms and condition below.
Terms and conditions of entry to the competition can be viewed here.
