Mediator Panel Membership

ACICA maintains a Panel of Mediators for appointment purposes and which may be utilised by parties as a resource for party-nominations. Mediator Panel Members receive a reduced rate for ACICA seminars and events, as well as news and other updates in relation to the organisation’s activities.

Applicants should be senior practitioners able to demonstrate the following:

  • extensive mediation experience, including experience mediating in an international arbitration context; and either
  • National Accreditation or membership of a mediation panel constituted by a recognised and reputable dispute resolution body in Australia or overseas.

Prospective Mediation Panel Members may complete an application form below.

Applicants will also need to send copies of the following documents to secretariat@acica.org.au:

  • their CV outlining relevant experience,
  • two or more signed references, in the form of the ACICA Mediator Referee Form from appropriate referees, and
  • a current certificate of accreditation/membership of a recognised dispute resolution body.

Applicants may apply for ACICA Fellow and Mediator Panel membership at the same time by choosing that membership option below, if they also meet the ACICA Fellow Membership criteria. In these circumstances, at least two signed references, in the form of the ACICA Fellow Referee Form from appropriate referees, must also be provided.

All applications for Mediator Panel membership must be approved by the ACICA Executive and Board.

The annual membership fee for Mediation Panel members is AUD300 (excluding GST). Where GST applies, the fee is AUD330 per annum. The combined rate for Fellow and Mediator Panel membership is AUD500 (excluding GST) per annum. Where GST applies, the fee is AUD550 per annum.

Current Fellows interested in joining the Mediator Panel should contact the ACICA Secretariat for more information. Payment may be made online by credit card (a 2% charge applies) or offline by EFT or cheque.
