ACICA has moved to new premises in 25 Martin Place, Sydney’s iconic MLC Centre situated in the heart of Sydney.
The new office is located on Level 10 of the building, which is managed by Dexus, and will accommodate ACICA’s
dynamic and growing team. The relocation comes as ACICA signs the ‘Green Pledge’ as part of its ongoing
commitment toward sustainability.

The ACICA office remains in the centre of Sydney’s Central Business District from where the Secretariat continues to
provide high-quality service to parties, while the move also allows ACICA to be at the cutting edge of sustainability.
The ‘Green Pledge’, an initiative from the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations, promotes awareness of the significant
carbon footprint of dispute resolution. As a leader of industry, ACICA has signed the pledge and fully supports the
integration of its sustainability measures in the move to Sydney’s iconic MLC Centre, a thriving hub in the city centre.
ACICA champions the need for environmentally sustainable practices in arbitration and encourages all stakeholders
(including counsel, arbitrators, and parties to disputes) to commit to the Campaign’s Guiding Principles and reduce
their carbon footprint to advance the sustainability of the dispute resolution industry.

Leading through action, ACICA took care to ensure that its new office space would be eco-friendly. The MLC Centre
maintains a 5.5 star ‘excellent’ Nabers electricity rating; an assessment based on a system that measures the
environmental performance of Australian buildings. The ACICA office is fully powered by a carbon-neutral energy
provider that has been certified as the first carbon-neutral energy company under the Australian Climate Active
program. The design of the workplace also provides plenty of natural sunlight to minimise electricity usage, and
internal office lighting is fitted with automatic timers. Recycling facilities at the MLC Centre are abundant and Dexus
operates a waste recycling program for ACICA to utilise.

ACICA recognises that sustainability practices should not just affect the immediate workplace but should also strive
to actively reform and guide the industry toward sustainability.
