Statutory Functions

ACICA has been designated the default appointing authority under the following legislation:

• International Arbitration Act 1974 (Cth)
• Water Management Act 1999 (TAS) sections 118 and 178;
• Water Act 1989 (VIC) schedule 15; and
• Construction Industry Long Service Leave Act 1997 (VIC) section 12

Under each of the above legislative instruments, ACICA has a statutory appointment function and parties may apply to ACICA for an appointment.
