Statutory Appointment of Arbitrator Rules

ACICA has been making appointments, upon application, pursuant to the International Arbitration Act 1974 since its designation in 2011.  That same year, it released its first edition of the Appointment Rules (dated 2011) to establish a streamlined process through which a party can apply to have an arbitrator appointed to a dispute seated in Australia. The Appointment Rules were updated in 2016 and 2022.  The new edition applies on and from 30 May 2022.
